Jessica L. Naegely
Jessica L. Naegely represents major insurers and individuals in investigatory and litigation matters involving allegations of negligence, personal injury, property damage, breach of contract, violations of M.G.L. c. 93A, and insurance coverage disputes. Ms. Naegely conducts examinations under oath, provides legal recommendations and case assessments, drafts pleadings and motions, and conducts oral argument on dispositive motions, including motions to dismiss and for summary judgment. Ms. Naegely is barred in New York, Massachusetts, and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Ms. Naegely attended Suffolk University Law School, and after her first year she served as a Judicial Intern to the First Justice of the Probate and Family Court, conducting legal research and drafting memoranda on a variety of legal issues. At Suffolk Law, Ms. Naegely was a member of Phi Delta Phi and the Business Law Association, the latter of which she served as the President for two years. Following her second year of law school, Ms. Naegely worked at a small business law firm, and analyzed issues involving domestic and international business organizations, shareholder agreements, voting trusts, federal tax treatment of multi-national corporations, and unfair consumer protection claims under M.G.L. c. 93A. She also worked as a Legal Intern to the President and CEO of an investment firm preparing periodic compliance reports to FINRA and the SEC, and managing transfers of interest in securities.
Prior to working at McGovern, Houston & Ganem, P.C., Ms. Naegely worked at a civil defense litigation firm researching complex multijurisdictional tort and contract issues on behalf of insurers and self-insurers including product and premise liability, trade secret misappropriation, employment discrimination, duties to defend and indemnify, modified comparative negligence, consumer protection claims under M.G.L. c. 93A, and insurance coverage disputes.
