Charles M. Wallen, IV 

Charles Wallen is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and New Hampshire Bar since 2015.  Mr. Wallen received his Bachelor of Science in Economics at the University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to joining the legal profession, Mr. Wallen managed asset preservation operations for bank owned residential assets during the foreclosure crisis. He attended Franklin Pierce Law School and received his law degree in 2015.

During law school, Mr. Wallen served as a legal intern to the New Hampshire Banking Department, where he investigated financial transactions, conducted legal research and drafted memoranda on a variety of legal issues and made enforcement recommendations to the agency’s legal team. He also served as a Legal extern for the New Hampshire Bureau of Securities Regulation, and investigated potential licensing violations and assisted state attorneys in enforcement actions for violations of New Hampshire securities laws in cooperation with various other state agencies such as the New Hampshire Insurance Department and State Attorney General.

 

Prior to interning for the State of New Hampshire, Attorney Wallen worked as a legal extern for Black Duck Software’s general counsel’s office, performing legal research and drafting memorandum regarding open source software licensing issues, and analyzing the firm’s ongoing contact requirements for a variety of clients.  Additionally, while at Franklin Pierce Law, Mr. Wallen participated in the Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court Competition.

 

Prior to joining McGovern, Houston & Ganem, P.C., Mr. Wallen represented national creditors and financial entities in New Hampshire and Massachusetts in connection with residential foreclosure and debt collection actions.
